The internship at
Next Generation (NexGEN) adventure program is an experiential learning
opportunity. The intern will work closely with the Chhango management
team and has to assist its different program activities. Intern
will receive support and required resources through NexGEN program.
By doing so, company has envisaged many benefits to the intern candidates.

Intern will assist
in the numbers of different tasks. In general, intern has to take
responsibility to assist following tasks with strong sense of acheivement.

Membership and
Program brief |
|
|
|
Provide membership to
the interested clients. The task requires collection and organization
of the client’s information such as name, email, telephone number
etc. All information should be database in the Microsoft Outlook program.
Intern will correspond and brief program details through email/telephone
and personal relation with the members, tourist clients and other
concerned parties. |
|
2. |

NexGEN Adventure
Program Introduction |
|
|
|
The task requires assistance
in organizing 1 hrs NexGEN program introduction seminar at school,
college and university about NexGEN adventure program activities.
Intern has to independently develop draft plan of activities to conduct
seminar for specified target groups with required budget. Prepare
letters and pay visit to the concerned authority address to organize
NexGEN intro program. |

Internet Research |
|
|
|
This task requires regular
website visit to concerned adventure sports website to bring up-to-
date information on their activities and events. |
|
4. |
|
Field Assistance |
|
|
|
This task requires visit
to field working areas and support in field event activities. Assist
in writing field instruction guides and field adventure sports manual.
|
|
5. |
|
Office Assistance |
|
|
|
Assist in number of
incidental office task, program development, marketing kits development
etc. |
|
6. |
|
Audio/Visual
works |
|
|
|
Assist in preparing video
contents of various adventure events. It is required that candidates
have prior knowledge and experience of preparing output using different
computer and cinematic applications. |
|
7. |
|
Weekly reporting |
|
|
|
This task requires reporting
up-to-date progress of above tasks to the coordinating team. Intern
should report the stat of weekly membership, correspondence made for
NexGEN seminar organization, information gathered from the internet
sources and drafts write-ups for instruction guides. |

Intern candidates must be college graduates in art, science or
management stream. No age bar. Intern will be hired by the Chhango
on the contract basis with initial enrollment for 2 months. The
period is extendable as per the performance historyresults. S/he
should be computer literate and should have sound knowledge of
MS Office Package. The knowledge of art, graphics and web designing
will add benefit. Candidates must have good command of spoken
and writing in Standard English. Professional rock climbers as
well as canyoneer can also join the team.
Intern candidates have to work at the office in Thamel with frequent
traveling to the field working areas (nearby Kathmandu Valley).
Intern will work 30-40 hrs a week from Sunday to Friday. Intern
will recieve all required incidental costs and benefits for their
work.

from Shree Sardha High School, Barahabise, Sindupalchok and is currently
