Rock Climbing - With or without Cycling

 

1 Day Program

 

Rock climbing, is an activity in which you will climb up or across natural rock formations with the goal of reaching the summit of a formation or the endpoint of a pre-defined route.

We operate our rock climbing program at Nagarjun Forest reserve in rock climbing station. The climbing site has wide range of routes and is best place for beginners, intermediate and professional climbers.

Nagarjun is located 3 Km North West of Kathmandu Valley. The drive time to reach the Nagarjun Forest Reserve is 30 minutes from Thamel. To reach the climbing spot, we will have to hike 30 minutes from the entrance gate.

Each participant will start climbing beginners route and based on their performance participants will be suggested to climb different difficulty routes. Nagarjun Forest Reserve is guarded by army. Check out time is 5 O’ Clock. We can arrange rock climbing program with mountain bike cycling.

       
 

Canyoning- With/without Cycling/Camping

 

1 or 2 Days

 

Canyoning is an adventure sport that involves traveling down creeks or streams within a canyon by a variety of means including hiking, scrambling, wading, boulder hopping, rock climbing, abseiling and rappelling.

We operate canyoning at Sundarijal, which is located 15 Km North-West of the Kathmandu Valley on the lap of Shivapuri National Park. The drive time from Thamel to Sundarijal buspark is 1 hrs. The canyoning spot is 30 minutes uphill Sundarijal Village.

We can arrange two days Canyoning program with mountain bike cycling and camping. The cycling travel route starts from Thamel to Muhanpokhari, to south facing forest of Shivapuri National Park, Sundarijal and back to Kathmandu. The total length of traveling route is 35 Km. The nature camp will be at the riverside of Bagmati River in Sundarijal village. The camping will be arranged in the tent.

Bouldering (Indoor/Outdoor)

 

1 Day

 

Bouldering is a style of rock climbing undertaken without a rope and normally limited to very short climbs so that a fall will not result in serious injury. It is typically practiced on large boulders or artificial man-made boulders.

We operate indoor bouldering at Patan Gym Bouldering and outdoor bouldering at various rocky stations nearby Kathmandu Valley. For outdoor bouldering, previous rock climbing experience is necessary.

       
 

Rope safety techniques trainings

 

3 Days

 

The rope safety techniques trainings enable trainees to build skills for wide varieties of safety procedure related to climbing and rope handling. Trainees will learn to make different rope knots, handling of climbing gears/hardware, safe use of rope, belaying and rock climbing procedure. Participants will be trained at rock climbing station, Nagarjun Forest Reserve.
